The Pacific Grove cowl is named for one of my favorite California Central Coast towns.

Pacific Grove is known for Monarch butterflies...and that's the link to the name, as this cowl uses the honeybee knit stitch, which I think also looks like butterflies.

And the pebbly texture reminds me of a salt lick, which butterflies use for nutrients.

ONE SIZE

Finished Measurements

Height (from top of cowl to bottom corner): 27" / 68.5 cm

Neck Circumference: 28" / 71 cm

YARN

The Fibre Co. Road to China Light, sport weight, 65% Baby Alpaca / 15% Silk / 10% Camel / 10% Cashmere (159 yds / 145 m per 1.8 oz / 50 g), 3 skeins (approx 445 yds / 407 m).

Please note I was able to knit both the swatch and the cowl using just under 3 skeins, and the yarn information reflects that. Building in a 10% allowance increases the yarn requirements to 4 skeins.
